Ken's obvious passion for cars was encouraged as a boy by his father. His passion grew as he built his first 'dream car', a 1948 FX Holden sedan, which appeared on the front cover of Street Machine magazine (Oct/Nov '93) and earned a spot in the Top 20 at Summernats 7. It remains with his ongoing involvement in Hot Rodding, Hill Climb car racing and Street Machines.
Ken commenced Streetwize Rod & Custom in 1995 and now employs quality tradesmen to help him to continue meeting his customer's needs whilst maintaining the high standard he expects of himself. With the help of Teresa, in the office, he and his team continually strive to improve and learn new ways to provide better services to their valued customers.
The combination of skill, natural ability and a deep desire for perfection has enabled Ken to refine and further continue his skill development as he builds his business.
Ken enjoys the opportunity to work casually for Kangan Batman TAFE in their Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE), Melbourne.
To do anything to the best of his ability is in Ken's blood. It is a characteristic that shows in every aspect of his workmanship. It is how he runs his workshop.
His passion is demonstrated in the number of customers he forms friendships with and who return to him time and time again.
